교육목표·학과개요
The Underwood Field draws on both the core international faculty of the common curriculum and affiliated faculty from throughout Yonsei University to provide a challenging and rigorous education that balances breadth and specialization. Available majors include Comparative Literature and Culture, Economics, International Studies, Political Science and International Relations, and Life Sciences and Biotechnology. In addition, students may minor in Korean Studies and earn a certificate in Creative Writing. Whatever they choose to study, students can feel confident that they will graduate from the Underwood Division with the knowledge, analytic ability, creativity, and communication skills to confront the challenges of an increasingly global and complex world. During their first-year of study, all Underwood Field students will live in a residential college at the Yonsei International Student, where they will take common curriculum courses with other UIC students, classes introducing the majors, and electives. Starting from the second year, UF students are based in Sinchon, where they will take courses in their major, electives, UIC seminars and other common curriculum courses. UF students are encouraged to take advantage of the wide range of Yonsei-wide and UIC-exclusive exchange programs, and will also have the option, in their senior year, of completing a senior thesis project under the direction of a faculty advisor.
